Who the Easy Walk is for
If you’ve never used a no-pull harness and you want the cheapest thing that genuinely works, the PetSafe Easy Walkis the honest starting point. It does one thing — front-clip redirection — and does it with almost no learning curve. For an average-build dog that pulls moderately, it will make the walk noticeably better on day one.
How it works
The leash clips to a martingale ring on the chest strap. When your dog surges forward, that front connection turns the dog’s shoulders back toward you rather than letting it lean into a back-clip like a sled dog. The quick-snap buckles on the shoulder and belly make it fast to get on and off.
Where it falls down
The Easy Walk sits across the shoulders, and on a deep-chested or barrel-shaped dog it can rotate so the chest strap rides up toward the throat. A snug fit helps, but if your dog is powerfully built or a hard-core puller, a dual-clip harness like the 2 Hounds Freedom holds its position better and gives you a second attachment point. The Easy Walk is also front-clip only— there’s no back ring for relaxed walks once the pulling is gone.
Fit and sizing
Sizing runs by the girth chart, and it comes down to a petite size for small dogs. Measure the chest girth behind the front legs, and use the two-finger rule so the straps are snug but not tight. The verdict
The Easy Walk is the right first harness for most people: cheap, simple, and effective for a moderate puller with an average build. Spend more only if your dog is strong, deep-chested, or a serious puller — in which case start with our full no-pull roundup.
